Proactive Protection & Campus Security
We take every measure to ensure our classrooms, playgrounds, and pick-up and drop-off routines exceed typical safety standards:
- Dedicated On-Site Security: Protected by contracted security professionals every hour we are open—not just during peak drop-off and pick-up times.
- Restricted Preschool Wing: Access to the building is controlled via electronic, restricted-entry doors. Furthermore, our early childhood wing is strictly restricted to parents and staff, separated from general community center visitors.
- Thoughtful Drop-Off & Pick-Up: Children are only released to parents, guardians, or authorized adults approved in writing. Our staff get to know every family personally, ensuring pick-up feels personal, not procedural.
- Trusted, Screened Staff: Every Rosen JCC employee must pass a comprehensive background check and state fingerprinting before ever working at the JCC, including all preschool staff — no exceptions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Our team conducts regular fire, severe weather, and emergency drills backed by a detailed preparedness plan, ensuring staff are calm, practiced, and ready for any situation.
- Enclosed Play Areas: Outdoor play spaces are fully fenced and secure, giving children the freedom to run, climb, and explore safely.

Rosen JCC Learning Center is proud to hold APPLE Accreditation (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment) — a voluntary, independent verification of health, safety, and educational quality that goes well beyond Florida’s minimum licensing requirements:
- Lower Educator Ratios: Our educator-to-child ratios are nearly half the state minimum across most age groups, ensuring personalized attention.
- Generous Space Requirements: Children enjoy 35 sq. ft. of indoor space and 75 sq. ft. of outdoor space—significantly above Florida requirements.
- Certified & Trained Educators: Every staff member is individually CPR/First Aid certified and completes more than double the state’s required annual training hours.
- Transparent Family Communication: Receive daily or weekly updates on your child’s day alongside at least two formal progress conferences annually.
- Continuous Third-Party Oversight: APPLE conducts unannounced verification visits to ensure we meet and maintain these rigorous standards year after year.

- Spots can fill up fast. If your preferred age group is currently full, securing a place on our waitlist ensures your family gets priority as soon as an opening opens up.
- Our tuition rates vary. As an independent nonprofit, every dollar of tuition goes directly back into your child’s experience. Tuition rates vary based on your child’s age and schedule, and financial assistance is available to help make quality early education accessible to every family.
